Cogent Energy,
Inc., an established and progressive energy consulting,
commissioning and engineering firm, has openings in its Concord
and Irvine offices for experienced commissioning authorities
with 5-10 years experience in the engineering, commissioning or
construction industries. The successful candidates will act as
Commissioning Authority for new construction, major renovation
and retro-commissioning projects. Responsibilities will include:
Developing Commissioning Plans
Leading Commissioning Meetings
Performing Design Reviews and Construction Site
Observations
Performing Installation Verifications
Developing Functional Test Procedures and Witnessing or
Conducting Functional Performance Tests
Writing Commissioning Reports
Assembling Systems Manuals
The successful
candidate shall have the ability to clearly communicate thoughts
and concepts in writing and orally. Candidate shall have at
least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a
thorough understanding of building systems and their operation.
Expertise with Excel and experience with Word, and AutoCAD is
desirable. P.E is preferred.
