Cogent Energy Opens Southern California Office
Cogent Energy announced the opening of a new Southern California office located in Irvine, California. “We have been serving clients in Southern California for over three years from our office in Concord”, said Tom Riley, president of Cogent Energy. “From our Southern California office, we will be able to be more responsive to our clients’ needs, and be able to more fully serve the energy efficiency and commissioning needs of the large Southern California market”. Cogent Energy chose Irvine as the site of its new office due to its close proximity to Los Angeles, San Diego, the Inland Empire and of course, Orange County where many of Cogent Energy’s clients have facilities.
Cogent Energy also announced they have recruited Charlotte Wagner, P.E., to head up its Southern California operations. Charlotte Wagner has 15 years of experience in the energy industry. Ms. Wagner is experienced in the energy analysis, design, commissioning of a variety of technologies to all types of facility systems. She has overseen the development, implementation and commissioning of energy projects for several large customers. Ed Spivey, Cogent Energy’s Principal Engineer is excited about this move. “I have had the pleasure of having worked with Charlotte five years ago. Without a doubt, Charlotte is one of the top energy engineers and managers in the business, and we are truly fortunate to have her as part of our team. We expect great things from her”.
