Sonoma State University Builds State-of-the-Art Recreation Center

Commissioning Accomplishments:
  • Incorrectly installed components were identified and rectified
  • Radiant floor heating system controls not adhering to design sequences of operation were corrected
  • Sensors and output devices were calibrated
  • Control output loops were tuned to improve system control
  • Sequences of operation for indirect/direct evaporative cooling systems were rewritten to optimize performance
Cogent Energy acted as Sonoma State University’s commissioning authority for the campus’ Student Recreation Center. This state-of-the-art building utilizes an indirect/direct evaporative cooling system for space conditioning. During the project, Cogent Energy participated in the development and refinement of the sequence of operations to optimize the performance of this system. Systems commissioned during the project included:
